Itinerary

ITINERARIO DÍA A DÍA
DÍA 1

We depart Cusco early in the morning and drive about 30 km (approx. 45–60 minutes) to the Chinchero plateau. This charming Andean town was an important settlement during the Inca period and is still rich in living culture today.

In Chinchero, we’ll visit a local family home to learn about daily life, traditions, and customs. You’ll also have the chance to see (and even try) beautiful hand-woven textiles—famous worldwide for their quality and vibrant natural colors.

From the plateau, you’ll enjoy stunning panoramic views over the Sacred Valley, with the Vilcabamba mountain range in the distance, the snowy peak of Salkantay on the western horizon, and the impressive Urubamba snow-capped mountains. Chinchero is also known as the mythical birthplace of the rainbow—so keep your camera ready.

Then we begin our hike along an ancient Inca trail, walking approximately 7 km through breathtaking scenery and peaceful landscapes. Along the way, we stop at the Poc Poc Waterfalls, hidden in the forest, and pass near Antaquillka Mountain, where colorful rainbows often appear over the valley, especially after light rain.

After the hike, we arrive in Urquillos, a lovely town in the Sacred Valley. From here, we return by vehicle to Cusco, arriving at approximately 4:00 pm.
