ITINERARIO DÍA A DÍA
DÍA 1: Arrival in Lima

Welcome to Lima, the vibrant capital of Peru, known as «La Ciudad de los Reyes» (City of Kings). Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted and transferred to your hotel in the heart of Miraflores. After settling in, we’ll gather for a meeting to go over the exciting adventure that awaits you. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy your free time exploring nearby landmarks such as Miraflores Central Park, Larco Mar, or the Parque del Amor (Park of Love), where you can relax and watch a beautiful sunset over the Pacific Ocean. And of course, indulge in Ceviche, Peru’s national dish, a true culinary experience!

DÍA 2: Exploring Lima

Get ready for a full day of exploration! At 9:00 AM, we’ll meet at the hotel and head to Lima’s city center. You’ll have the option to travel like a local on the Metro or enjoy the comfort of a private car. Our journey begins at San Martin Square, continuing along Jiron de la Union to admire colonial mansions, churches, and the main square. We’ll explore the Palacio de Gobierno, Lima Cathedral, and venture inside the San Francisco Convent, including its fascinating catacombs. We’ll also walk along the Rimac River and admire the Great Wall of Lima. After the tour, treat yourself to the incredible Peruvian cuisine at one of Lima’s renowned restaurants (our guide’s recommendation).

DÍA 3: Flight to Puerto Maldonado (Amazon)

This morning, we embark on a flight to Puerto Maldonado—your gateway to the Amazon Jungle! The 1-hour flight takes us to Puerto Maldonado, where you’ll switch to a private vehicle to head towards the river. From there, we’ll board a motorized canoe for a thrilling 3-hour journey deep into the jungle. Upon arrival at your ecological lodge, settle into your thatched-roof cabin. After lunch, take a short orientation walk to familiarize yourself with the lush surroundings. Spend the evening immersed in the sights and sounds of the Amazon.

DÍA 4: Jungle Adventure

Wake up early to begin your jungle adventure! A 25-minute boat ride takes us upriver to Tres-Chimbadas Lake. Along the way, keep an eye out for monkeys, macaws, and colorful birds. Once at the lake, you might spot giant river otters, black caimans, and the mighty harpy eagle. After returning to the lodge for lunch, we’ll continue to a medicinal plant shelter, followed by a night tour to observe nocturnal wildlife like capybaras and other Amazonian creatures.

DÍA 5: Flight to Cusco

After breakfast, we’ll fly back to Puerto Maldonado for a short 40-minute flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, enjoy a traditional Andean mint or coca tea to help you acclimatize. After settling into your hotel, take a leisurely stroll through the Plaza de Armas and explore the central market, where locals sell their fresh produce. Visit the Chocolate Museum and try some delicious hot chocolate. For dinner, experience Cusco’s unique cuisine with options like grilled alpaca or guinea pig.

DÍA 6: Cusco City Tour

Today, we’ll discover the ancient capital of the Inca Empire. We’ll explore Cusco’s vibrant streets, famous for their Inca walls and colonial churches. We’ll visit the Koricancha (Temple of the Sun), and take a short trip to the Sacsayhuaman ruins for stunning panoramic views of the city. We’ll also visit Tambomachay, Qenqo, and Puka Pukara, important archaeological sites near Cusco. The afternoon is free for you to relax, explore museums, or enjoy a coffee at one of the charming colonial cafes in the main square.

DÍA 7: Sacred Valley Tour (Chinchero, Moray, Ollantaytambo)

Today, we head to the Sacred Valley in a private vehicle. Our first stop is the town of Chinchero, where you’ll witness traditional textile weaving using ancient techniques. Afterward, we’ll visit the stunning Moray agricultural terraces, followed by a visit to a local house for an organic lunch. We’ll then continue to Ollantaytambo, a historic town in the heart of the valley. Before we settle into our hotel for the night, we’ll stop by a local brewery to learn about the famous chicha (corn beer).

DÍA 8: Ollantaytambo & Train to Aguas Calientes

Explore the majestic Ollantaytambo Temple/Fortress with a 2-hour guided tour, marveling at the Incan stonework. In the afternoon, we’ll board the train to Aguas Calientes (1.5 hours) and have free time to relax, visit the hot springs, or stroll through the town before dinner.

DÍA 9: Machu Picchu Guided Tour

Start the day early as we take a 30-minute bus ride up to Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Explore the stunning Inca citadel with your guide for 2 hours, learning about its fascinating history and significance. Afterward, you’ll have the opportunity to explore further or visit the Inca Bridge. At the end of the tour, return to Aguas Calientes for lunch, then take the train back to Ollantaytambo and return to Cusco.

DÍA 10: Free Day in Cusco

Enjoy a relaxing day in Cusco to shop for souvenirs, visit any museums you missed, or simply soak in the city’s charm at your own pace.

DÍA 11: Departure to Puno

After breakfast, we’ll travel by public transport across the high plateau to Puno, located on the shores of Lake Titicaca—the world’s highest navigable lake. The 7-hour scenic journey offers views of rural Andean life, culminating in a visit to the Uros Floating Islands.

DÍA 12: Rainbow Mountain Adventure

Experience the breathtaking Rainbow Mountain (Palccoyo). After a morning transfer, you’ll trek to this stunning, multi-colored mountain range, taking in its incredible landscapes along the way. Later, return to your hotel in Puno for a relaxing evening.

DÍA 13: Farewell Cusco

This morning, after breakfast, you will board the motorboat again and sail to the island of Taquile (approximately 1 hour) one of the most beautiful islands that is known for the hand-woven textiles produced by the locals, and the customs that still they are practiced, here, knitting is strictly a male domain, and women spinning. If you would like shop and contribute to the local economy, it is optional.
