Itinerary

ITINERARIO DÍA A DÍA
DÍA 1

Your adventure begins with an early pick-up from your hotel in Cusco, where we’ll embark on a private car ride heading south of Cusco for about 4 hours. Along the way, we’ll make time for a delicious breakfast before continuing our scenic journey.

We’ll start our hike at 4,330 meters above sea level, with Ausangate—the highest peak in the Cusco region at 6,334 meters—looming in the distance. The 2-hour descent will take us through a breathtaking valley, where we’ll pass llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas grazing peacefully in their natural habitat. As we make our way up, we’ll reach our first rest stop at 4,700 meters, where we can refuel with snacks and plenty of water. From here, we’ll catch our first glimpse of the stunning Rainbow Mountain in the distance.

The final leg of the hike takes us up to the summit of Palcoyo Rainbow Mountain, standing at 5,020 meters. Here, you’ll be rewarded with incredible panoramic views of the vibrant, multi-colored terrain that gives this mountain its name. Take your time to capture photos and soak in the beauty of the natural world around you.

Once we’re ready, we’ll descend along the same path, taking about 1.5 hours to return to our starting point. After a well-deserved lunch, we’ll head back to Cusco, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel around 5:00 PM, marking the end of your unforgettable journey.
