Overview
Chinchero 3600 meters above sea level was a very important place in the Inca period, it was the entrance to the sacred valley of the Incas, currently you can see a richly decorated colonial temple, on the foundations of the ancient Inca palaces. The Inca architecture that still shows the place as the terraces the aqueducts, and the Inca road that goes to the sacred valley of the Incas.




Drive and walk to the Sacred Valley of the Incas We leave Cusco early in the morning and go to the Chinchero plateau 30 kilometers from Cusco approximately. To explore Chinchero, important city in the Inca period, we visited a local house where we interact with local people, traditions, customs and why not turn on some of its wonderful hand-woven fabrics known worldwide, There are beautiful views of the Sacred valley of the Incas, with the Cordillera Vilcabamba and the snow peak of Salcantay that dominates the western horizon and the mountains of Urubamba Nevados. Chinchero is believed to be the mythical birthplace of the rainbow. From here we will walk along the ancient Inca trail approximately 7 km towards the sacred valley through wonderful sites and with the unforgettable landscape, we will make a stop at the Poc Poc waterfalls that are located in the depths of the forest and the Antaquillka mountain in Chinchero, where they appear the beautiful rainbows that pass led by the Inca trail that leads to the sacred valley covered by its lush vegetation.
After the walk we will arrive in Urquillo a beautiful town located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas where we will take the car back to Cusco approximately 4:00 pm
